NFS: Pro Street Nissan GT-R Video & Screenshots

NFS: Pro StreetThe Nissan GT-R was recently unveiled at the Tokyo Motorshow in Japan and its being dubbed one of the biggest recent car launches. There are screenshots and a video below of the car ingame as well as an exclusive shot of the January issue of Import Tuner Magazine where they did a 5 page spread on ProStreet

Here is a short excerpt from the article.

"Dominate, kill the competition and take your driving skills to the next level. These are just a few descriptive words that submerge you deep into the realms of Pro Street’s career mode stages as your skills are put to the test in grip..., drift, drag and speed challenges, as you advance through a series of stages making your way past international competitors around the world, and finally coming face to face with the Street King himself.

“Pro Street is the next generation for Need For Speed. The one thing we wanted to redefine this year was the physics of the cars. Improvements on the visual aspects as well as the vehicles handing physics give Pro Street that raw feel and adrenaline rush that you get with every race you compete in,” says Michael Mann, senior producer of NFS."

and if you didnt notice, the soundtrack aroung 1:50 of this movie matches exactly to the soundtrack of the second most recent movie in the "producers blog" post just down the page. its around 1:20 or so in that movie.

in the first movie, there is two different cars making the engine sounds, and the camera switches back and forth between them. in this movie, there is just the gt-r that is making both engine sounds. hmmmmm.

i sense something weird going on here....

i like the R34 much more than this big piece of shit. all these japs en ricers are looking forward to these stupid looking civic and subaru and skyline, and i have no idea why. and wth is the deal with that magazine, V8 killer subaru? pfft, a normal vette beats it to death in speed AND price. ricers just suck no matter what. at least now adays they do.
im not that concerned to buy this game anymore since i have to upgrade my CPU and my graphics card. the money that i have to spend equals to buying a second hand PS2. imma forget about this game till i get enough money. i dont cut the corners of my life for a game. i never did.
doesnt make this game any less than what it was, i still say it should kick ass. at least comparing to UGs and NFSC.

Hey the Civic is nice in a way, so is this one, in a way, it's not how they look but more on "how they Perform" that makes them special!!!

To be honest, the new GT-R might be nice, but I have no clue... Have not driven it (in real life). While the looks of the car finally grew onto me, it is going to be sad day - because all the wanksters/retards/idiots/punks/etc are going to talk about this car (as if there is anything to really talk about after only having it in a game), due to the focus placed on it.

"zomg, teh nu k001 skyline!!!1111"... Ok =\

In real life, it was fun talking/reading/listening about possible Engines/Trac Controls/Suspension Geo for this car, at one time... Now I want to see where it stacks up - in the field.

From a gaming point of view, it is great to see the GT-R in the game. Not overly excited - because this car has yet to actually accrue credentials. If this car proves to be a performer that I can work with, then I'll work with it.

Anyways, recent RAM upgrade seems to make my system somewhat viable to play, in the least. Cannot wait. :D

Looks like a great and new GT-R to me though. But agreed with 3ni2nr, its great to see the GT-R in the game. But the front bumper looks different but I like it. I guess I rather have this game for the PS2, can't wait. ^_^

Since this car labs the Nürburgring faster than a McLaren SLR and a Ferrari Enzo, it is possibly worth mentioning. This goes around the ring as fast as a Carrera GT, with an engine of "only" 460 HP. This must suggest rather unique handling qualities. And with a little work, a new ecu etc. you'll probably be able to boost the power to about 600 HP.

Furthermore following the skyline tradition a Nizmo version ought to follow. That will probably be a lighter version, which probably results in even better handling. Furthermore the power might be upped quite a bit in the nizmo.
