"Editing Projects" Forum split

The "Editing Projects" forum now has two new sub-sections, "Conversion Projects" and "Completed Contests". From now on, the main "Editing Projects" forum will be reserved for those modeling their cars from scratch using Z Modeler or an equivalent program. "Conversion Projects" will be reserved for members seeking to convert other's previously completed scratch made cars.

This makes it easier for everyone to keep track of various projects by type. "Editing Projects" is easily the most active forum on this site, so hopefully this will make it easier to browse.

The "Completed Contests" sub-forum is where topics from "Contests & Events" will be moved to after they have concluded and a winner is announced. This will keep the "Contests & Events" sub-forum clean with only current and active contests.

If you find your topic is not where it should be, check these two forums. If you feel your topic should be somewhere other than where it is (there are a lot of threads to be moved, mistakes will happen) please notify me or another staff member and we will relocate it for you.

I do believe this is a good path to take.

I never really got into trouble with browsing the pages, but if you think its a good idea, that suffices.

But what about when someone makes a car from scratch and then converts it to a game? Plus, many cars are being remodeled while being converted. what about them? What about someone who takes a car from a game and remodels it without having plans to convert it to any other game? like the DB9 from HP2 that someone made its LM version, it wasnt a scratch made, it wasnt a convert either. yet it was lot of work.

I hope this is not for creating more boundaries between converters and modelers. Converting is sometimes harder than modeling. Like the Lotus Esprit that I modeled and Xentek is converting it for HS. It all depends on how good the model is. and all modelings are not good, as we all know. like my Esprit. :)

If a thread contains any modeling, or car editing, it will remain in the "Editing Projects" main forum.

Only threads that are devoted exclusively to car conversions will be located in the "Conversion Projects" sub-forum.

I disagree with this since it apparently undervalues the work of converters... The Borg Gaming Website, which is the prime site for posting WR2 projects, does not have such classification. Instead, the thread titles are tagged at the beginning, letting you know whether it's a conversion or a scratch-made car, an MBWR or WR2 project, a track or a car. But then again, they use a different system: each project is posted in its own thread (rather than each author having his own topic), as that site does not have a "downloads" section.
