New ProStreet Gameplay Videos.
Here are a couple new videos released at gamespot.
the First one is of a full Drag Race from start to finish.
sadly whomever was driving the car doesnt know the controls enough yet.
The 2nd video is of a drift lap, you can see how the game physics are reacting in this one.
Hopefully it gives some details for those who are skeptical of the game yet so far, maybe these videos will change alot of people's minds about how much better Drag and Drift are than the previous versions in Carbon, MW, and Underground.

It's starting to take form....now I wait for the demo...
=\
Drift looks like allways, only this time with small points count :o and continuous drift point counting, wich offcourse get erased just as you hit the walls :P i bet its like that. =__=
Drag, dunno, nothing special about it either =\
Anyways, looking forward to get the demo and try it out myself, i hope the game is actually worth it
Seeing as the walls are a fair ways off track, you shouldnt hit them,. maybe stay on the road. :)
blergh,
<-- begginer =)
The drag looks a little unrealistic. The height of the cars is way too much, and as we all know a drag racing car's height is usually really low, except sometimes that its a little higher in the back because of its big rear tires. But here I see 2 cars that look like they're going for a rally race in a desert full of sand. And I still dont understand that for what reason they still havent fixed the sound of the car's engine when it reaches max RPM. i have tried that on a car and the car doesnt sound like that at all, the sound of the car sounds like always just louder, it doesnt sound much different at 5999 and 6000 rpm when 6000 is max, unlike NFSUG-PS that it sounds different in 7999 and 8000 if 8000 is max. lol wth? but the recorded sounds are much better and more realistic. also take a look at the first game play video.
the smoke is awesome. the more i see it the more i love it.
the drift is great. much better than any versions of NFS. especially NFScarbon's. in all NFSs before, drift was like somehow the car suddenly handles different. In here, I kinda felt that its one of those MW drifts. like its no different than any other place. thats awesome. and btw what was the car over there? S2000? it looked kinda nice.
conclusion(IMO):
Drag: better than before, still has problems to be fixed (height).
Drift: much better than before. flawless.
IMO, the height of the cars are exchangable, and maybe thats a special dyno setup? Oo
and, since when does MW have drifts? no offence ;)
MW had drifting in freeroam, not a mode, but just something you do when cornering.
@Myojinoir: thats what im saying, drifting shouldnt have different physics. and as Sinister said, it was just what you did by ur own while cornering. there wasnt any drift mode. About the height, what about the opponent? in those speeds cars gonna just fly with those heights. An object flies when the pressure of the air beyond it, is enough to push it up, and this happens at high speeds when the speed gives the air an extra pressure on the object. thats why ppl use lowered bumpers. lol just saying.
what is the second car in the drift
Whats with the "tut tut tut tut tut" engine sounds in both videos? something stuck under the hood?
Redline engine popping.
a squirel....
:D
ow well, i think thats an unfixable EA pro glitch
whens the demo comin out
sometime early october.
It's the engine rev limiter.
I gotta say, drifting does seem better than in the previous NFSs (except NFS 5, hehe). Hopefully it won't dissapoint.
On a sidenote, I don't like the far camera; it's just too far away.
As for the rev limiter - I find it somewhat anoying. It doesn't seem too realistic, but it's not too bad either.
Anyhow, so far I think the game is a-ok.
no offense, but a rev limiter is quite realistic.
Yeah ok, the limiter is realistic enough, but still, something just seems out of place when the car starts reving, and I can't point out exactly what (maybe the steering? Shouldn't it hanlde a bit different at those high RPM?)
